Core 1 is Oakville’s only Premium Service Provider. Our Apple-certified repairs are performed by Apple Certified Mac Technicians who use genuine Apple parts. And only Apple-certified repairs are backed by Apple.

If your Mac is covered under Apple’s warranty we can repair it free of charge (under the terms of the warranty.)

We also offer warranty work under Best Buy and Future Shop warranty. If you purchased an Apple device at Best Buy or Future Shop with warranty, we are able to service it under the terms of the warranty.

If you bought your Mac less than a year ago and need to have it serviced, simply bring it to us, and our Apple Certified Technicians will perform the necessary service – under warranty terms, of course!

Mac Service and Repair

Learn about Mac repair options

Core 1 operates on a no-appointment-required basis. Meaning you can bring your Mac in at any time for us to have a look.
Our typical turn-around time on most repairs is 3-5 days.
For out-of-warranty service, Core 1 charges a $99 flat-rate labour charge, meaning there will be no surprise costs to you.
Our technicians will contact you with a diagnosis within the first couple of days, and if any parts are required, we will let you know the pricing and provide you with a timeline for the completion of your repair.
We will always work our hardest to preserve the data on your computer, but we do recommend an external backup. If you don’t have one set up, we have lots of external drive options available, and we are able to work with you to get your Time Machine backup set up.

RAM Upgrades
You can boost the performance of your Mac and prolong its life by upgrading it with additional RAM.
Many Apple computers are able to have their RAM upgraded on a while you wait basis.
We have an installation charge of $39, plus the cost of the memory.

Hard Drive/SSD Upgrades
If you’re running low on space, or want to boost the speed of your Mac, we have upgrade options available.
Our typical turn around on Hard Drive/SSD Upgrades is 1 business day.
We charge $99 for the labour, and we will copy over all of your data to the new drive.

Operating System Upgrades
Looking to run the latest OS, or bring your Mac up to date? We are able to help get your system running whatever version of macOS you may need.
We charge $99 for labour, and we are typically able to get your Mac back to you within 1 day.

If you're experiencing an issue with your battery, we can help. You can bring your Mac by for us to take a look at your battery health any time, no appointment required.
Your Mac notebook battery service might be covered by warranty, consumer law, or AppleCare+. These prices are for out-of-warranty service. We might need to test your product to determine the final service fee.

13-Inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar) Solid-State Drive Service Program Apple has determined that a limited number of 128GB and 256GB solid-state drives (SSD) used in 13-inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar) units have an issue that may result in data loss and failure of the drive. 13-inch MacBook Pro units with affected drives were sold between June 2017 and June 2018.

Keyboard Service Program for MacBook and MacBook Pro
Apple has determined that a small percentage of the keyboards in certain MacBook and MacBook Pro models may exhibit one or more of the following behaviours: Letters or characters repeat unexpectedly, letters or characters do not appear, key(s) feel "sticky" or do not respond in a consistent manner.

13-inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar) Battery Replacement Program
Apple has determined that, in a limited number of 13-inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar) units, a component may fail causing the built-in battery to expand.
